What you need to know...
- if you have licenses for content protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM), such as music purchased from ITunes, you will need to re-obtain these licenses. You may have to contact the appropraite store via phone to do this.
- You will need to provide the software discs and license keys for software that needs to be installed on the new computer.
- Even if you have licensed software, it may not allow activation on the Windows 7 computer, since it was activated on the old computer.
- Some software may be incompatible with Windows 7, thus rendering those particular data files unusable.
- Moving between 32-bit and 64-bit architectures may result in many programs not being compatible.
