Here's what I'll do...
Unpack and inspect your new computer and other products that came with it for damage.
Cable up and power your computer, keyboard, monitor, speakers, and mouse.
Setup and configure an existing internet connection.
Setup and configure any additional devices such as printers, scanners, etc.
Setup and configure any additional software applications. (Must be legally licensed software)
Configure your computer to receive Windows Updates.
Activate the Windows operating system
Activate any other programs.
Ensure your computer is working properly.
Provide a full overview of any special features of your new PC.
Go over all external ports and connections and what they are used for.
Show you how to make System Recovery Disks in the event your computer needs to be restored to its original factory condition. (only applies to certain computers)
Answer any questions you have about your PC setup and the service you received.
That’s it. Hop on your keyboard and have at it.
Notes:
Please ensure there are enough electric receptacles available for your monitor, the computer, a light source, and any external devices where the computer will be setup.
It is highly recommended that your computer and all related hardware be plugged into a surge protector.
